Stop At: Australian National Memorial, Route de Villers Bretonneux D23, 80800 Villers-Bretonneux France

We visit here also the John Monash Center, drive to Le Hamel Memorial with its very fine view and also so important as the final offensive of the summer 1918 started from here, the deepest crater on the Western Front : Lochnagar Crater - some 32 m. deep and finally the THIEPVAL MEMORIAL to the MISSING

Stop At: Museum of the Battle of Fromelles, Rue de la Basse Ville, 59249 Fromelles France

From here, the Australians launched another offensive in july 16, as the German resistance on the initial attack was too havy. Many remains have only been found back 90 years later. We will visit the VC Corner Cemetery and the Australian Memorial Parc

Stop At: Menin Gate Memorial, Menenstraat Poort gebouw, Ieper (Ypres) 8900 Belgium

Passing the Belgian Border, we stop at the Commemoration Plaque for Winston Churchill in Ploegsteert, we see the Pool of Peace, result of the mining war but here filled-up with water, the Australian Monument in Polygoon Wood Cemetery, we go to Tyne Cot, the biggest Commonwealth Cemetery in the World, and end our visits with the Menin gate Memorial and the Market Square of Ypres. Time for dinner and we attend the Last Post Ceremony at 8 pm before returning to Brussels
