Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo

Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo is one of the largest indoor aquariums in the World and it has won a Guinness World Record for the world’s 'Largest Acrylic Panel.' The 10-million liter Dubai Aquarium tank is located in the Dubai Mall, the largest mall in the world, and it houses over 33,000 aquatic animals, comprising over 140 species. Over 300 sharks and rays live in this tank, including the largest collection of Sand Tiger Sharks in the world.

Located just above the aquarium, Underwater Zoo brings its visitors up close with penguins, piranhas, crabs, water rats, sea horses, jellyfish, and more. Choose between two packages — the Researcher or Explorer — and see below for more details on what's included with your experience.

Option 1: Researcher Experience

Take a tour of the back-of-house facilities with a guide, and get an up-close look at the various breeding projects the scientists are working on. Study the Sea Jelly Lab where Aquarium scientists simulate environmental change to encourage breeding, or take a close look at a baby shark developing from an egg. Then continue your journey to ‘Underwater Observatory’ which puts guests at eye level with the inhabitants of Dubai Aquarium and have the unique chance of feeding stingrays and sharks.

Option 2: Explorer Experience

Alternatively, step inside ‘Dubai Aquarium Explorer’ a Submersible Simulator which takes guests on a virtual adventure among dugongs, whale sharks, and many other sea creatures. Head down to water level and step on board the glass-bottom boats, drift out over the surface of the aquarium and watch thousands of animals swim below, and learn interesting facts from your guides while having chance to feed fish.
